Drawings
The drawings are done in a variety of medium: charcoal, ink, pastel, pen or pencil and collage. Drawing is very personal and immediate. Many of the works are stream of consciousness in execution. This allows for a free-flow stream of images and abstract shapes and mark-making to occur. There is honesty to the unfiltered production which appeals to me. Some are direct observation. The works as a whole sometimes form an obscure narrative yet they remain cohesive.
